Elite Q1 Gear
Elite Q1 Ring and Pinions set the bar at the highest level for automotive ring and pinion sets. Elite starts with hand picked 8620 steel of the highest level. Each gear set is then machined on modern state of the art CNC equipment, then lapped in to ensure smooth and quiet operation. Precise heat treating ensures unmatched strength and durability. REM Super Finish
Each Elite Q1 gear is then treated to a REM super finish where they are polished to a high luster. The REM finish does a lot more than just provide good looks. The REM finish provides a quieter, smoother, longer lasting gear set that also runs cooler and requires substantially less break-in time. REM finish comes standard on all Elite Q1 ring and pinion sets.

Real World Testing
A considerable amount of testing has gone into Elite Q1 gears. We are on the 3rd season of testing in our 1988 Mustang drag car which uses the factory 8.8" rear fitted with Elite Q1 gears. The Mustang is powered by a 557cid BBF, running 9.40 1/4 mile times with 1.3 60ft times, dead hooking on drag radials. After 3 seasons of abuse the gears show no sign of wear or fatigue.
